Many readers have told me that my writing is easy to understand, that it grabs the attention because it is relatable and realistic. It is so realistic that I am frequently asked if the storylines, especially Good Girl, are true. The answer is no, but it certainly could happen.
I think the scripture that best describes my books is Romans 6:19. It starts, "1 speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh." Here, Paul is referring to the need to present information to the masses in a way they will understand it due to the fact that they are not Biblical scholars or people who readily recognize the voice of the Holy Spirit. But there is still a message, a Word, they need to understand. He is addressing people who live in the flesh, not the Spirit. Our Lord meets us where we are, in the flesh, to touch and hopefully change our heart. Each of my books teaches a spiritual lesson - more than one, some would say. Admittedly, I didn't always understand the spiritual lesson I was writing about at the time, especially in But I Love My Husband, but I wrote it as it came to me. In each book, at the end, is a prayer of salvation. I never know how a paragraph, a thought, an idea, or the Holy Spirit may have moved a reader. For this reason, I want to give each of my readers the opportunity to make the decision to follow Jesus. For more information about Human Terms Publishing click here.
